Deadpool 3 is set to unite X-Men from across the entirety of the Fox canon. A new rumor suggests Liev Schreiber will be one of those familiar faces, reprising his role as Sabretooth from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
One of the few disappointments fans had with Logan was that Liev Schreiber, who played Wolverine’s iconic rival Sabretooth, was completely absent from the film. It seems as though their rivalry is set to be resurrected, with Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman claiming Schreiber will cross paths with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine once more in Deadpool 3.
It’s unclear how big of a role Sabretooth will actually play in Deadpool 3. Rumors suggest a star-studded cast filled with familiar mutant faces, including Channing Tatum as Gambit and the return of many original X-Men cast members. It’s more than likely Liev Schreiber will only share passing blows with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the film. However, that’ll certainly be more than enough to scratch the itch that Logan left fans with.
