Luann de Lesseps reacts to Shannon Beador’s “wakeup call” DUI arrest and admits that she has compassion for the Bravo star.
Real Housewives of New York alum Luann de Lesseps shared her thoughts on Shannon’s recent DUI arrest while appearing on Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
“I’m sure this is a great wakeup call for her, and I’m sure she’s on the way of taking good care of herself,” Luann told the outlet of the Real Housewives of Orange County star.
“And I hope that she is.”
Luann went on to admit that she’s been asked about Shannon‘s DUI during her ongoing Countess Cabaret tour.
“The Shannon Beador thing [comes] up,” Luann admitted, noting that she’s been “thinking about” Shannon Beador since her arrest for DUI and hit-and-run last month.
“Look, when things happen like that, there’s only one way to go,” she added, pointing out that Shannon’s life can only go up after hitting rock bottom.
As AllAboutTRH previously reported, Shannon was arrested for DUI and a hit-and-run on Saturday, September 16, in Newport Beach, California, after she drove her car into a residential property and “clipped the house.”
On Monday, September 18th, the news of Shannon’s arrest and DUI incident broke in the press and shocked the Bravoverse.
The reality star’s attorney, Mike Fell, quickly released a statement noting how expressing how “apologetic and remorseful” Shannon was over her actions.
“We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available,” the attorney said at the time. “Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
The Bravo star is reportedly in intensive therapy and is focused on healing – mentally, physically, and emotionally with the help of friends and professionals.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
