Ubah Hassan‘s secret boyfriend has been revealed.
After the Real Housewives of New York City star, 40, announced (after she was outed by Brynn Whitfield, 36, by way of Sai De Silva, 42), that she wasn’t actually single but happily dating on the finale episode of season 14, her “Mr. Connecticut,” as he was referred to on the series, was identified.
On October 24, the Daily Mail revealed Ubah’s mystery man as German investment banker Oliver Dachsel, the managing director of a New York financial institution. And surprisingly, they also shared that Ubah and Oliver were fairly open with their then-secret romance as far back as July when they attended the season 14 premiere party together. In fact, an insider said they were “inseparable” at the bash.
“I assumed he was her husband because I didn’t know at the time that she was pretending to be single on the show,” the source shared. “They were together the whole night. It wasn’t like they were making out, but they never left each other’s side, they were very giggly and she seemed excited to be introducing him to people.”
“She was clearly very happy. Obviously it was a private party, but I felt like she was comfortable having him there,” the insider added.
According to the report, Ubah introduced Oliver to Andy Cohen, 55, and a couple of her castmates, including Sai, at the event. And during the October 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy described him as “handsome, strong, and yes, formidable,” and Ubah revealed she’s “very much in love and content.”
Weeks later, at the RHONY reunion, Ubah confirmed she and Oliver were “still going strong” as Andy said he was “very tall and handsome.”
As for whether or not Oliver will be appearing on the potential 15th season of RHONY, Ubah recently said on Instagram Live that she’s “still negotiating.”
The Daily Mail went on to reveal that Oliver spent one year in the German Federal Armed Forces before enrolling in a business school in Vallendar and later attending the Columbia Business School in New York.
Following his schooling, Oliver worked his way up in the banking industry, ultimately landing his current gig as a managing director, and embarked on a number of philanthropic and charitable efforts, one of which brought clean water to people around the world.
Part two of The Real Housewives of New York City season 14 reunion airs Sunday, October 29, at 9/8c on Bravo.
