Monica Garcia’s mother Linda addressed her controversial dinner on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, called her own behavior “abhorrent,” and accused Monica of “16 years of bullying.”
Around the same time, Monica called out “toxic relationship[s],” suggesting she and her mom “cut ties.”
On Twitter, Monica’s mom addressed the shocking dinner – in which she called her daughter a “mother-f**ker.”
“My behavior at the dinner was abhorrent,” she wrote. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry it was triggering for so many of you. I was unpacking 16 years of bullying and manipulation by Monica. Not taking it anymore. I’m working on my issues.”

She then clapped back at Monica’s assertion that she once made out with a guy in a car while Monica was in the “trunk.”
“1) It was not a trunk, it was my boyfriend’s Corvette. It was strictly kissing. We thought she was asleep,” Linda stated. “2) I have been apologizing to Monica her entire life. She had therapy as a child. I have been offering more therapy for her & my granddaughters for years.”

Linda added, “3) I have been atoning for my sins by giving Monica cash, credit cards and cars. No more. She did pay back the credit cards.”

Meanwhile, Monica shared her own thoughts on Instagram.
“To anyone dealing with trauma or if you are in a toxic relationship, I see you. I feel you. You are not alone. Whether it’s a spouse, sibling, partner, friend, family member, or parent,” she wrote. “Your feelings are valid. Do not feel bad for doing what is best for your mental and emotional health. Do not feel bad for having to cut ties or take time. Your pain is real and it is yours and yours alone.”
She then shared a quote from @browngirltrauma: “‘Oh please, it wasn’t that bad.’ Actually, yes. It was pretty traumatizing for me. No one else gets to decide what is traumatic and not traumatic for you.”
The quote went on to say, “Healing from childhood trauma can be a very lonely journey. Your friends, family, and significant other may never fully understand it. Understand that you do not need to apologize for who you become after you survive.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season four airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
