Starz has greenlit a new 10-episode drama series, “Spartacus: House of Ashur,” with Steven S. DeKnight returning as showrunner and executive producer. Nick Tarabay will reprise his role as the titular Ashur from the original series. The show is described as a “history-bending, erotic, thrilling, roller-coaster experience” that builds on the original “Spartacus” series, exploring an alternate timeline where Ashur survives and is gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus in return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and ending the slave rebellion.
