This is not Haddish’s first run-in with law enforcement. As previously reported, Haddish was arrested for DUI back in January 2022.
At the time, she was also caught sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in Atlanta. She was arrested and booked for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway. Per court records, she’s scheduled to go to trial December 4 for that case, TMZ notes.
Although this is her second offense, we’re sure Haddish, 43, is aware of the consequences that come with a DUI and what she may possibly face.
Driving under the influence (DUI) is a serious offense that has far-reaching consequences. The legal ramifications of a DUI conviction can vary depending on the jurisdiction, but they are universally severe.
One of the immediate consequences of a DUI arrest is the suspension of your driver’s license. This can result in significant inconveniences, such as difficulty commuting to work or fulfilling daily responsibilities. DUI convictions often come with hefty fines, which can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. Additionally, offenders may be required to attend alcohol education programs or undergo substance abuse treatment at their own expense.
Furthermore, in more serious cases or for repeat offenders, jail time is a possible consequence. DUI convictions can also lead to probation, during which strict conditions must be met, such as regular check-ins with a probation officer or mandatory drug tests.
Haddish joins the long list of stars who have also been arrested for drinking under the influence. Those celebrities include Khloe Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Tiger Woods, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and more.
