Out by way of House Call Records, “Gladiator” kicks off with Def3’s vocals textured with persistent percussion elements and dominant synth work, resembling somewhat of a ticking time-bomb. The gritty beat builds suspense before culminating in a reverberating drop.
The lyricism in “Gladiator” speak to the importance of believing in yourself and being in constant pursuit of your goals: “Failure is inevitable, get back up,” Def3 raps with conviction. “We go seven days a week, but ‘someday’ ain’t one.”
