Emma Myers, best known for her role in Wednesday as well as the new Netflix movie Family Switch, has joined the cast of the upcoming movie adaptation of Minecraft. The film’s writer has not yet been revealed, and the plot it tightly under wraps, but fans are pumped, as the game is one of the most popular out there.
Myers joins previously cast actors Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen in the feature take of the Mojang sandbox video game, which at 300M copies sold and nearly 140M monthly active players, is the highest-selling video game of all time.
The film is set to begin shooting at the end of month in New Zealand. Minecraft is looking at a 2025 release date. In the meantime, you can see Myers return to the role of Enid in Wednesday when it returns for Season 2 in 2024.
