On Monday, December 18, 2023, Dunki makers dropped Shah Rukh Khan’s latest song, “Banda,” aka Drop 6. Adding to the excitement, popular Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has lent his voice to this peppy song. The latest drop comes after a series of releases like Dunki’s trailer and multiple songs, titled “Lutt Putt Gaya,” “Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se,” and “O Maahi.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Diljit Dosanjh collaborate for the first time in Dunki Drop 6 ‘Banda’
Dunki’s latest drop marks the first-ever collaboration between Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and popular singer Diljit Dosanjh. The latter’s distinctive style and infectious energy are reflected in every note of the song “Banda,” adding a unique flavor to the Dunki experience.
The release of Drop 6 acts as a catalyst as well, intensifying the anticipation surrounding the upcoming film. Additionally, “Banda” is a song that serves as an introduction to Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Hardy, in the movie.
The promotional video shows different scenes of Hardy being in love with Taapsee Pannu’s character, them trying to flee dangerous situations and sweet moments with friends.
Following the release of Dunki Drop 6, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his gratitude to the singer on X (formerly Twitter) and gave a hint about his character.
In his heartfelt message, he wrote (originally in Hindi), “When you ask for the heart, this fellow will give you life… of promises, intentions, and the friend of our friends. And Diljit Dosanjh paaji, has poured his heart into this song. Thank you and love you paaji, for making Hardy a beloved fellow for everyone to love.”
In response, the Kinni Kinni singer hailed the actor as the “One & Only KING @iamsrk.” Additionally, eagerly anticipated the release of the song with a spirited “DUNKI FIRST DAY FIRST SHOW OYE.. BANDA SONG.”
Dunki is releasing in theatres on December 21, 2023.
