Rapper Kodak Black is reportedly in federal custody in Miami. As The Shade Room previously reported, the 26-year-old was arrested in Plantation, Florida, on December 6. He was subsequently charged with cocaine possession, tampering with evidence, and an improper stop/stand/park.
On December 8, the rapper pled not guilty to his charges and was released on bond. Additionally, Black requested a trial by jury and was ordered to abide by a Pretrial Services Supervision Order as he awaited the proceeding.
After his release, the rapper alleged he did not have cocaine during the time of his arrest.

More Details Regarding Kodak Black’s Federal Arrest
According to a report published by NBC 6 South Florida on Saturday, December 16, Kodak Black was taken into federal custody after “violating his probation.”
Additionally, the outlet reported that the rapper is being held at Miami Federal Detention Center in Florida.
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, is listed as an inmate at the facility under register number 18149-104. Additionally, Black’s release date is listed as “UNKNOWN.”

Here’s What We Know About The Rapper’s Prior Bond Conditions
Although NBC 6 South Florida reports that Black may have violated his “probation,” this information has not been confirmed. As The Shade Room previously reported, Black was given a Pretrial Services Supervision Order the day before he was released on bond in his cocaine possession case.
The document stated that Black must abide by state and federal laws as he awaits his trial. Additionally, the rapper must attend all biweekly meetings with the Pretrial Services Office.
Furthermore, the rapper was required to submit to a substance abuse evaluation by Monday, December 18, and refrain from consuming alcohol or illegal substances.
Black was at Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s listening rave in Miami on December 12. An NSFW video clip showed the rapper smoking onstage as the event previewed new music from him and Bad Bunny.

The Rapper Recently Filed A Motion To Suppress Evidence In Cocaine Possession Case
Kodak Black’s federal arrest arrives two days after he and his lawyer filed a motion in his cocaine possession case. According to the Broward County of the Clerks, Black filed a motion to suppress evidence in the case on December 14.
“…the defendant, Bill K. Kapri, by and through his undersigned counsel… respectfully moves this Court to suppress any and all evidence seized and/or obtained from Defendant, including evidence recovered from his person, and evidence recovered from the vehicle which occupied…”
The filing alleges that the rapper was the subject of an “unlawful investigatory stop and arrest” by two officers of the Plantation Police Department. Additionally, the filing alleges that the arresting officer did not give Black time to move his illegally parked Bentley. Allegedly, the officer approached Black’s vehicle instead, “opened the driver side door… and shut off the vehicle’s engine.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, the officer noted a white substance falling from the rapper’s mouth during his arrest. This resulted in the rapper’s subsequent cocaine possession charge.
Kodak Black and his lawyer have since alleged those claims to be false.
“If that s**t ain’t me, don’t put that on me,” Kodak Black explained, per XXL. “Don’t convict me of some s**t that ain’t me. Them people went cocaine on me. That’s the only s**t that I’m flaming about… I ain’t riding around with no cocaine. These people don’t have no body-cam, none of that. It’s 2023, fam.”
Cohen alleged the substance found on Black was Percocet.
“In this latest case, my belief is that the ‘rock’ this officer found when tested will be a Percocet, not cocaine,” Cohen reportedly told TMZ in a report published on December 12.
At this time, it remains unclear what may happen next in the rapper’s federal arrest and initial cocaine possession case.
