Sell, sell, sell! RHOA alums Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann slash the sale price of their Georgia mansion in hopes of offloading the property ASAP.
TMZ reports that Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are so desperate to sell their Georgia mansion in hopes that it will help offset their growing financial problems that they have slashed the property’s sale price.
The former RHOA couple, who are still in the middle of an ugly divorce, are now asking $5,500,000 for their Milton, GA estate.
While it’s not the most significant slash in the world, the hope is that the price cut will get someone to bite and purchase the property.
However, comparable homes in the area, even some on the same street as the RHOA alums’ homes, are selling for considerably less in order to get a buyer to bite.
Kim and Kroy put their Alpharetta, Georgia mansion on the market for $6 million in October as it was scheduled to go up for auction due to failed payment on November 7, 2023.
Recently, Kim and Kroy agreed to a deal with their mortgage lender, Truist Bank, to give them more time to offload their home before foreclosure, per Radar Online. The two have until January 11, 2024, to sell their home before Truist Bank moves forward with the foreclosure proceedings.
The former RHOA stars purchased the mansion in 2012 for $880,000 after tying the knot in November 2011.
The two-story, seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom brick and stone property built in 2008 features:
“A heated pool, five fireplaces, a six-car garage, a full back in-law suite, a separate au pair suite, a circular driveway, a chef’s kitchen and oversized island, a full-size bar and wine cellar, multiple walk-in closets, an elevator, a finished basement, an in-ground trampoline, a billiard room, an arcade room, a movie theater and a gym with a private massage room.”
In the last year, the former RHOA couple’s growing financial issues have become public knowledge amid their marital issues.
The 37-year-old NFL star filed for divorce from Kim in May, claiming that the RHOA OG’s gambling addiction “financially devastated” their family.
According to Kroy, Kim’s gambling has played a huge role in their family’s financial issues. Over the summer, Kroy told police that Kim lost $700k gambling in the last two years alone.
“The total in the marriage was about $1.5 million dollars. She does it online illegally,” Kroy claimed to police recently.
Earlier this year, Kim and Kroy were hit with a $1.1 million tax lien as well as various other lawsuits over unpaid credit cards and outstanding gambling debts.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to return for season 16 in 2024.
