The first trailer for Rebel Moon- Part Two: The Scargiver has been released by Zack Snyder. The footage comes with brand-new details about the plot of his upcoming Netflix project.
Rebel Moon was recently released on Netflix with mixed results. Some fans loved Zack Snyder’s take on Star Wars, but many others felt it fell short, especially given a director’s cut is coming down the pipeline. However, it seems promotion for Part Two: The Scargiver is already ramping up, with Snyder dropping the first trailer for the project as a present on Christmas:
Zack Snyder also gave fans some details about the plot of Rebel Moon- Part Two: The Scargiver. Specifically, late last month he revealed the upcoming sequel on Netflix would focus on a large-scale war at the center of the movie’s conflict:
“The second movie is really a war movie,” Snyder revealed. “At the beginning, they harvest the crops, and we have a bunch of stuff in the village, sort of the ‘Why We Fight’ aspect of the movie. We have time for relationships. Then the next thing is the big battle. It’s really fun.”
Rebel Moon- Part Two: The Scargiver certainly needs the time to build relationships. One of the core critiques of the first film is that Zack Snyder took a very “tell, don’t show” approach to making the audience care about his characters. Hopefully, part two is able to turn the franchise around and make it the big hit Netflix was hoping for.
