Oop! After Mike Epps first reacted to Katt Williams’ viral interview with Shannon Sharpe and accused Williams of wearing a fake Fendi jacket, Epps is firing back at the backlash, claiming, “It’s marketing, dummies. I put all these mfs on.”

As we shared earlier on our Instagram, Mike Epps performed stand-up the other night, and during his set, he said he caught wind of Katt Williams’ explosive interview with Shannon Sharpe. In the short clip, Epps said, “It’s f***ed up, man. He just should’ve wore something different. That little hat that n***a had on and that fake Fendi jacket. That’s my n***a, though. That’s my n***a. That’s my n***a!”
The clip of Epps quickly went viral on social media and stirred up a bunch more controversy with some social users calling Epps’ “clap back” weak and others claiming that even if the jacket was fake (which many don’t believe), everything else that Williams said in his interview was spot on.

Epps even ended up posting a quick video to his Instagram Story, in which he admitted that he just said anything about Williams because he was “just jealous” of all of the attention Williams was receiving from his interview and wanted to steal some attention himself.
Epps said, “Alright, I did get a little jealous, man. Katt broke the internet and didn’t say my name: good or bad. I need the press too, n***a, sh*t. Say something about me in there, man. Say something bad about me, I don’t care. I got a special coming out, I need the press. Man, we did a movie together, damn.”

With the backlash still incoming, Epps eventually fired back at everyone coming for his stand-up bit and took to his Instagram feed to share a photo of himself standing next to Williams. In his caption, he continued to speak on how his comments were just for marketing, and claimed that when no one wanted to put Williams in a movie, he did. The two were seen in ‘The House Next Door,’ during whose filming spawned the photo that Epps uploaded.
In his caption, he wrote, ”I put all these mfs on and still putting comics on today Yeh ant none of y’all brave enough or care enough to work with em him or come around him stop making this sh*t so bad we comedians I put him in a movie when no one wanted to work with him some of that sh*t he said was true and some of it was not at the end of the day we all black men in a business that is not OURS I cracked on his jacket because that’s what comics do all this sh*t is marketing dummies.”
