After joining forces for “Enter the Rave” last year, UMEK and Sam WOLFE have reunited to pour gasoline on their collaborative saga with another show-stopping techno track, “Robocop.”

“Robocop” charges in with pounding, hydraulic beats and an infectious vocal hook. The song’s mechanical rhythms and cold synth stabs evoke images of cybernetic officers patrolling neon-bathed streets. Yet this android enforcer also knows how to bust a move, cranking out climb-inside-the-speaker breakdowns tailor-made for the rave.

All said and done, “Robocop,” which is out now by way of UMEK’s 1605 label, is an unrelenting injection of late-night techno for those who want to dance with disciplined abandon. UMEK and Wolfe have once again crafted a thrilling techno banger that functions as another notch on their increasingly-decorated belt.

“From the start of our relationship, [UMEK] was kind of always testing me to see if I could consistently create quality for the label, and also listen to and implement his feedback to make my solo stuff more powerful,” WOLFE tells EDM.com. “During that time of two years-plus, developing a really good friendship and playing shows together around North America, we’ve gotten very comfortable giving each other feedback on music and developed a flow where we can consistently start an idea and turn it into a bomb time after time.”

WOLFE is gearing up for a big 2024 as he sits on “an album worth of unreleased tunes ready to drop and signed to a slew of new labels,” he added. He’s also planning to showcase his electrifying DJ sets more on YouTube after a breakneck year that saw him perform 62 shows across 44 cities.
