RHOBH alum Lisa Rinna gets real about her sex life with husband Harry Hamlin; she admits, “It doesn’t happen quite as often.”
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna isn’t shy about anything, whether it’s stirring the pot on Bravo, baring it all on social media, or talking about her sex life with her husband, Harry Hamlin.
Lisa Rinna admits that she and Harry, who is twelve years her senior, don’t get it on as much as they used to as Harry’s “desire levels” have changed with age.
“We really have great sex together, and we always have,” the 60-year-old told Cosmopolitan for their “Sex After 60” issue.
“It’s just that maybe it doesn’t happen quite as often as it did when you’re in your 30s and in your 20s, I would say. And I think that’s normal.”
Lisa Rinna described the decline in her sex life with Harry as “the natural evolution of life.”
“So it’s figuring out how to coexist without taking that personally as a woman,” she noted.
In fact, the change has allowed the Hollywood couple to embrace “companionship” and create a “space for the ebb and flow of sexuality.”
Despite the shift in her sex life, Lisa Rinna says she is more in touch with her body and sexuality than ever before.
“I’ve gotten to that place where, at 60, I am so much more confident than I was at 30. I love this age because I’m freer and more confident and more passionate than I’ve ever been,” the Bravo alum said.
“I have not always been this in touch with my sexuality at all. I grew up very repressed, like everybody did in the ’60s,” she continued. “It just wasn’t something that nice girls did or talked about or flaunted, especially not in Medford, Ore., where I was raised.”
The former soap star says she was raised to be a “good girl,” which meant not sharing how she really felt and just going with whatever pleased others.
“You can see how well that went for me,” she explained. “I rebelled, certainly, after a while. But I toed the line really well for a very long time, even when I first met Harry.”
Lisa and Harry met in 1992 when the actor was still married to actress Nicolette Sheridan. After her affair with musician Michael Bolton, Harry divorced the former Desperate Housewives star and moved on with his now-wife a few months later.
The two dated for five years before tying the knot in 1997.
They share two daughters, Delilah Belle, now 25, born in June 1998, and Amelia Gray, now 22, born in June 2001.
