She was reportedly trying to stop cars driving off for help. He held Vigil, a sex worker, hostage in the toy box for two days. Vigil reported that Ray’s girlfriend, Cindy Hendy, was also an accomplice who assisted him in his crimes and later testified against Ray, resulting in a 36-year sentence for her part in the crime.
The investigation to determine the Toy Box Killer’s other victims remains to be on. Authorities have found some jewelry and clothing that they believe may belong to Ray’s victims. FBI records indicated that they found no bodies. Also, sex workers and drug addicts were among his primary victims.
