Halle Bailey has had enough of fans accusing her of gaslighting and lying to them during her secret pregnancy with her rapper boyfriend DDG.

As we all know, after months of pregnancy speculation, Bailey and DDG secretly welcomed a baby boy named Halo during the 2023 holiday season. While ‘The Little Mermaid’ actress never really addressed the speculation — despite slamming fans for accusing her of having “a pregnant nose” — her boyfriend continued to troll both of their fanbases amid pregnancy rumors.
Eventually, DDG dropped the music video to his song “Darryl Freestyle,” in which he rapped about a baby named Halo not wanting for anything and having a superhero as a mother. Moments after the video hit the internet, the pregnancy speculation spiked, causing Bailey to simply come clean about her secret pregnancy.

She posted a photo of her and DDG holding baby Halo’s tiny hand. She captioned the post, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”
After revealing their son to the world, both Bailey and DDG began uploading new and old photos showing glimpses of Halo (minus his face) and Bailey’s growing belly before delivery.

Upon sharing one of her more recent posts, showing fans how she had to photoshop her belly for photoshoots, Bailey came under fire from fans accusing her of gaslighting and lying to them. One fan said, “Halle, girl, we know!! She is sending me soooo bad!!”
Another fan replied, “I don’t think people are mad she hid her pregnancy. People are more so annoyed that she went out of her way to lie and gaslight about it. Then, she shaded people and called them desperate. Now, she wants those same “desperate” people to know every little detail.”
Halle Bailey clapped back at the last message and denied lying to or gaslighting fans. She said, “Never lied or even said anything about it, honey, making a joke about my nose was the farthest I went. I‘ll never understand why you are mad I protected my own peace, wouldn’t you do the same? And I’m gonna share my pics now if I want to because my son is here safely, if u don’t wanna see it just keep scrolling baby lol God bless you!”

Responding to Bailey’s tweet, another fan said, “Halle, baby. K*ll it. You didn’t tell us bout the baby then. You didn’t speak then. Don’t speak now and leave us out the conversation. Enjoy your hit in peace. We don’t care.”
Bailey fired back, “If u don’t care why are u responding then, sweetheart? Just don’t care by living ur best life and not commenting on mine.” She continued to share another tweet, “lol my hormones have been on 10 recently so I’m gonna go back to staying off Twitter. Love you all.”
