Kyle Richards is feeling hurt by Dorit Kemsley‘s suggestion that she replaced her with Morgan Wade.
While appearing on Jeff Lewis‘ radio show earlier this week, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, accused Dorit, 47, of being dishonest about their friendship as she opened up about the lack of empathy she received from Sutton Stracke, 52, amid season 13, revealed where the two of them stand today, and admitted to feeling alone during filming as she struggled through her separation from Mauricio Umansky, 53.
“Dorit, obviously we’ve gone through a little bit of a hard time. I care about Dorit and [Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley], and their kids so much but I just feel hurt… She said I just feel replaced by Morgan… I mean and I love Dorit, I mean that. I love Dorit, I love her family but she’s never been in the years since she joined the show, that girl that I would, you know, the first morning call or going to workout with or going for breakfast,” Kyle admitted on the January 23 episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live.
According to Kyle, she and Dorit have a “different” kind of friendship than she has with Morgan.
“So I was like, ‘Let’s not exaggerate it for the sake of you doing an interview bite to have a moment ’cause that’s just making problems worse for me.’ And she knows that,” Kyle explained. “So I was like, ‘Thanks a lot, that’s not even true.’”
In addition to finding herself in a tense place with Dorit amid RHOBH season 13, Kyle also faced hardships with Sutton, who wanted to know exactly what was going on in her marriage.
“We were friends. Genuine friends. I just didn’t understand why she was doing that this season out of the blue,” Kyle noted. “It was the strangest thing, that dinner, saying ‘So Kyle!’ I felt like I was on trial. And I was struggling so much and going through such a difficult time.”
“The lack of empathy was shocking, especially since even though the audience didn’t know what was going on in my life, everybody else did… I was taken aback by the lack of empathy,” she continued. “When I’m hurt, I act angry… I was really hurt. I was like, why are they doing this to me?”
Although Kyle and Sutton certainly aren’t as close as they once were, Kyle confirmed she “[cares] about [Sutton] a lot” as she revealed a recent interaction between them.
“I care about her a lot. I was just hurt. So she did send me a text, and I responded,” Kyle revealed.
As for the challenges she faced during production on season 13, Kyle said she felt quite alone.
“I didn’t feel like I could lean on any of the women but I do care about all these women,” she explained. “There’s nobody [where] I’m like, ‘Eww. They’re just so awful,’ and I’ve felt like that in the past.”
