Nikki Garcia and Brie Garcia, formerly known as The Bella Twins and now known as The Garcia Twins, are reacting to their former boss and WWE founder Vince McMahon resigning amid horrific trafficking allegations.

Last week, Vince McMahon resigned from WWE and UFC parent company TKO Group Holdings after being named in a lawsuit that accused him of sexual trafficking, forced sexual acts, defecation, and more.

The scathing lawsuit was filed by ex-WWE staffer Janel Grant on January 25 and it included detailed and shocking claims of forced sexual acts that allegedly occurred during her time at the company from 2019 to 2022. The suit, which seeks various damages and a voiding of an NDA Grant signed, names not only McMahon but also various other WWE executives, including former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis, as well as at least one unnamed “WWE Superstar.”

Per documents obtained by ET, “[McMahon and Laurinaitis allegedly exploited her] both for their own pleasure and as a pawn to secure talent deals with prospective wrestlers they were recruiting. [McMahon] would shower Ms. Grant with gifts and empty work promotions, while at the same time threatening her livelihood and her reputation if she wouldn’t succumb to his increasingly depraved sexual demands, including disseminating [intimate content] of Ms. Grant to ‘thousands’ of individuals and engaging in sexual acts with other WWE employees — some of whom were complete strangers.”

In response to the lawsuit and after several discussions and deliberations among a few top players at TKO and WWE, Vince McMahon eventually opted to resign to save the companies’ reputations and limit further fallout from Grant’s explosive lawsuit.

Speaking on the hard-hitting suit, McMahon stated, “I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth. I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name.”

The WWE founder added, “However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately.”

Days after WWE founder Vince McMahon and former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis were accused of forced sexual acts and sexual trafficking, former WWE stars Nikki Garcia and Brie Garcia, formerly known as The Bella Twins and now known as The Garcia Twins, are speaking on the horrific allegations.

On Monday (January 29), the twins released a statement to Instagram and stated, “We are shocked and disheartened with the recent allegations against members of the WWE. It has been a lot to process since we found out this past week, just as you all did. This is something we don’t stand for or condone from anyone no matter who they are. We want all women to feel safe and supported in the workplace and in their everyday lives.”

It’s noted that although Vince McMahon’s latest WWE resignation may seem sudden, it follows a previous departure from the organization in 2022 when he was accused of “executive misconduct.” Again named with McMahon was then-talent relations chief John Laurinaitis. They were both accused of offering multi-million dollar payoffs to former female employees and others.
