Congrats! Nia Long will reportedly be starring in the upcoming Michael Jackson movie and taking on the role of Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine, in the Lionsgate and Universal musical biopic “Michael.” Both companies made the announcement on Tuesday.
As we previously reported, fans were expected for upcoming biopic when it was announced that Jackson’s own nephew, Jaafar Jackson will be taking on the role of the King Of Pop. It was also reported last week that Colman Domingo was casted in the role of Jackson’s father, Joe.

According to The Wrap, Nia Long shared a statement after landing the major role. “Katherine Jackson is an incredible pillar of strength and grace for the entire Jackson family.
