Symone Davis, the mother of NeNe Leakes’ grandson, has taken legal action against her ex, Bryson Bryant, accusing him of failing to pay child support.
Davis alleges that despite a court order, Bryant has failed to make his payments on time, consequently neglecting his obligations, per Radar Online.
Nene Leakes’ Son Faces More Legal Drama
Davis is seeking the outstanding payments and wants the police to arrest Bryson. The court documents obtained by Radar reveal that Davis placed Bryant on child support after a paternity test proved he was the father of Blaze.
In July 2020, a judge declared Bryant to be the biological father, and he was ordered to begin paying $708 monthly. However, according to the newly filed docs, Nene’s son hasn’t made one payment to his ex.
This means his missed child support payments have now grown to $29,736.
“In the prior Order the Respondent was ordered to pay Petitioner $708.00 per month beginning August 1, 2020 in child support, and, as of this time owes to Petitioner the following amount of $29,736.00,” the lawsuit read, per Radar.
Davis claims that Bryant’s failure to pay her the money for their son is a “willful” act.”
But while Davis has been vocal about her grievances with Bryant, it’s unclear what NeNe Leakes thinks of the situation. She has yet to comment publicly.
Despite the bitter legal battle, Davis has tried to keep the lines of communication open. She claims to have sent pictures of Blaze to both Bryant and Leakes but has received no response.
“I sent him pictures of Blaze. He opens the message but doesn’t respond,” she told the news outlet.
Nene Previously Opened Up About Bryson’s Drug Addiction
This isn’t Bryant’s first run-in with the law. Just months before the lawsuit, in July 2023, Bryant was arrested for possession of fentanyl.
Days after the news broke, Leakes addressed her son’s run-in with the law in an episode of Carlos King’s ‘Reality With The King,’ and she kept it brutally honest.
The former reality star admitted that Bryant has struggled with drug addiction for years. She also revealed that he’d been to rehab on numerous occasions in the past.
“He needs rehabilitation, he needs a lot of counseling. Like many families out there, I have family members that are struggling with drugs and certain addictions,” Leakes said. “He’s been in rehab a couple times, and he still has come back out and relapsed. As a mom, just to watch it, my hands are tied… He’s an adult. He has three children. Three beautiful children who I adore. He has a wife. It’s not much that I can do.”
