Fans of Summer House know that Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke were engaged to be married. However, plans fell through when Carl later called off the wedding. Now, the new season is about to start, and it will show them in a much happier state planning their wedding. Plus, Lindsay is talking about how she coped with the change.
For context, Lindsay and Carl started dating in January 2022. The two moved pretty fast and got engaged by August of the same year. Then, they broke it off last year ahead of their planned November wedding.
According to Bravo, they started filming the upcoming season just a few months before the wedding was supposed to take place.
Fans can see Lindsay in the preview for the season discussing wedding planning and talking about how unhelpful Carl has been.
She says, “Carl and I have been living together for a year, and we’re planning a wedding. Wedding planning is busy, to say the least.”
She continues, “Carl, God bless him, he has not been helpful. This is not my wedding, it’s our wedding, so it would be nice to have a little help.”
The Summer House star also recently opened up to People about how she’s moving on from the breakup.
Lindsay told the publication, “I am highly focused right now, and I am really busy at the moment.”
She continued, “I think after everything was said and done, after last year, I thought my future in life was going to go one very different direction for this year. Then, when it didn’t, I decided to focus on my own individual successes and what I deem as a personal success in my life. That was OK.”
Regarding her future, Lindsay has several goals. She wants to own a home, start a business, and focus on having a financially successful future.
She said, “That has really been my focus, is just my own success. I don’t know what that means exactly. My version of success has changed as the years go on.”
“My early 20s, it was [to] graduate from college and move to New York and start my career in PR. Then, it was like, climb that ladder and work as hard as you can, get all the knowledge and experience as you can in the field of PR.”
According to her, everything shifted after the breakup, and she now wants to be the best person she can be. Summer House returns on February 22.
