Kentucky Fried Chicken has announced that they are bringing an international favorite to the United States- Chizza, a mashup of fried chicken and pizza. The menu item will be available in locations starting Monday, February 26.

This inventive dish was first launched in the Philippines in 2015 and has since made a flavorful journey to countries including Germany, Mexico, and more. The Chizza stands out by featuring two succulent white meat chicken fillets smothered in rich marinara sauce, topped with stretchy mozzarella cheese and spicy pepperoni slices. “Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better – the Chizza. The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world – try it while you can!” said Nick Chavez, CMO of KFC U.S., in a press release.
As fast-food enthusiasts around the globe continue to seek out new and exciting culinary experiences, KFC’s Chizza emerges as a mouth-watering fusion that promises to satisfy both chicken and pizza fans alike. To celebrate the arrival of the Chizza, a special event is set to take place in New York City, transforming a KFC outlet into a “Chizzeria” pop-up. Located at 242 E 14th St., this temporary makeover will welcome guests from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday, allowing them to indulge in the Chizza firsthand.
