Taylor Swift continues her borderline omnipresence as she was recently referenced in Jason Kelce’s emotional retirement speech. But what did he say in reference to her? Here’s all you need to know.

What did Jason Kelce say about Taylor Swift in his retirement speech?

Jason Kelce’s retirement speech included a reference to Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” song from 2012.

Announcing his NFL retirement on Monday after 13 seasons playing with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce dropped a potential reference to a well-known song from his younger brother’s girlfriend. During his speech, he said:

“It’s only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the city of brotherly love, I knew that relationship all too well.”

Hearing this, Swifties couldn’t help but speculate that Jason Kelce was referencing the lyrics of “All Too Well.”

One fan wrote on X – “Jason Kelce just quoted “All too well” in his retirement speech. Love it so much.”

Another added – “Jaisn [sic] made a all too well reference im not ok.”

Interestingly, this wasn’t the only potential reference as he may have also given a nod to Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” song from 2014. Later in his speech, he said:

“If you go above and beyond for this city, you will be rewarded above your wildest dreams.”

The father of three got very emotional during the speech as he recalled his younger days of playing football and the hardships he went through. He thanked his wife Kylie Kelce and his parents Donna and Ed Kelce.

He also spoke of the unbreakable bond he shared with his brother saying:

“There is no chance I would be here without the bond Travis and I share. It was really my brother and I our whole lives. We did almost everything together — competed, fought, laughed, cried and learned from each other. We invented games, imagine ourselves as star players of that time.”

Concluding his speech, he thanked Philadelphia for having him and supporting him as a part of the Eagles for so long.
