With the recent delay of The Batman Part II from 2025 to a 2026 release, DC fans are wondering if Joker 2 has met a similar fate. As such, fans are asking if Joker: Folie à Deux has been delayed or if it will still be released in 2024. Here is your answer.

Is Joker 2 delayed?

No, Joker 2 is not delayed, as of this writing.

Despite the recent delay of The Batman Part II, fans need not worry about Joker 2 getting delayed as there is no news or rumors of it happening. The sequel to 2019’s Joker is currently scheduled to meet its October 4, 2024 release date.

Moreover, filming for Joker 2 has wrapped, and post-production is currently going on as of April 2023, as per Todd Philips’ Instagram post celebrating the film’s wrap. Filming took place between December 10, 2022, and April 5, 2023. As such, there also does not seem to be any need for Joker 2 to get delayed since the film is already shot.

If Joker 2 does get delayed then ComingSoon will provide an update regarding the same.

Is Joker: Folie à Deux still coming out in 2024?

Yes, Joker: Folie à Deux is still coming out in 2024, as of this writing.

Joker: Folie à Deux is currently scheduled to be released on October 4, 2024. The film will serve as a direct sequel to 2019’s Joker and continue the story of Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck as he meets Lady Gaga’s Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn, a psychiatrist assigned to treat him, only for her to end up falling in love with him.

Aside from Phoenix and Gaga, Joker 2 will also feature Zazie Beetz as Sophie, Leigh Grill as Gary, and Sharon Washington as Arthur’s social worker, reprising their roles from the first film. Also part of the cast are Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, Steve Coogan, Ken Leung, and Harry Lawtey.
