A Wisconsin bus driver is being deemed a hero after he saved a half-clothed toddler who was running a down a busy street.
While speaking with a local news station about the incident, the driver, Keyon Finkley explained how when he saw the toddler he instantly went into daddy mode.

“Capitol Drive is one of the most dangerous streets. I live on Capitol Drive and I know how bad it can be,” Finkley said. Finkley says that he has driven all around Milwaukee with having four years of experience but he couldn’t believe what he was seeing when noticed the toddler on the street.
“They train us to look two or three blocks ahead, able to know everything around us,” Finkley said. “Well, I seen the little boy that started to come out to my right side and start running in traffic.” In the surveillance footage shared by the news outlet you can see the toddler running in the street with no shoes on. Seconds later, Finkley pulled over in the bus lane and hopped out to save the toddler. “I got scared and in that, I need to get there and angle my bus and get him on my bus so I can keep him safe,” Finkley said.
After placing the boy in his seat while they waited for police, Finkley said he couldn’t help but think about his own four children.
“That could be my son, somehow got out of the house and I would want somebody to be there for my son,” Finkley said. “So, I had to be there for that boy and treat him like he was my son at that time, protect him the best I can until police get there.”

Milwaukee City Transit also revealed that the toddler was the 14th child that a driver saved in the last couple of years.
Luckily the boy wasn’t hurt and authorities were able to safely get him back to his family.
