Ariana Madix admits to being hurt by Scheana Shay as she attempted to rekindle her friendship with Tom Sandoval.
Fans expected the drama Ariana Madix and ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, to spill over into season 11 of Vanderpump Rules. However, what they didn’t expect was for Scheana Shay find herself caught in the middle of said drama as she attempted to befriend Sandoval again amid his redemption tour.
So far, Scheana has been the only one willing to give Sandoval another chance which has caused a hiccup in her friendship with Ariana. While Ariana made her circle even smaller post Scandoval, Scheana felt sidelined by her bff. On top of that Scheana felt offended that Ariana didn’t acknowledge how Sandoval’s affair with Raquel Leviss hurt her as well.
During a recent episode of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana broke down over Ariana’s post Scandoval success and Ariana’s inability to see why she is sad over the loss of her friendship with Sandoval.
“When I try to talk to Ariana and say that I’m struggling, she either dismisses how I feel or tells me I shouldn’t feel this way because he’s a bad person,” Scheana said. “It’s like, I know, but I’m telling you I’m struggling.”
While the mom of one insisted she was “so happy” for Ariana, who was landing gig and gig including Dancing With the Stars, Scheana then admitted to struggling with Ariana being the center of attention.
“She does deserve everything she’s getting … I’m so happy for her she did not go down a dark spiral. I just am hurting still,” Scheana added.
That episode of Vanderpump Rules concluded with Scheana breaking down into tears: “Why can I never have one moment where it can be about me?!”
Scheana also noted that she was “hurt” after losing her friendship with Sandoval, who she considered a “very, very dear friend.”
Ariana Madix addressed Scheana’s comments on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
The 38-year-old admitted that she thinks Scheana gives on an “attitude” towards her throughout season 11.
“During the time of filming, I definitely was not aware of a lot of the things that were being said behind my back,” Ariana said. “I love Scheana dearly but a lot of things that were said are very hurtful. Specifically, it’s hard to pinpoint something. It’s just kind of like this general attitude towards me that I’ve been seeing that’s pretty hurtful.”
Andy Cohen then asked Ariana about Scheana’s revelation that Sandoval gifted her money during the pandemic.
“You kind of got a sense of, ‘Wow, they go back in a way that has nothing to do with this,’” Andy said to which Ariana responded, “Yeah, well, I mean, I was around during that too … That was definitely something I was aware of at the time as well. And I supported.”
