In the new year, Maggie Lindemann’s company SWIXXZ debuted a new series called SWIXXZ Presents in collaboration with AltPress. Now, another new episode is on the way.
Hosted by Demi Ramos, the series casts a bright light on a unique group of artists in Lindemann’s orbit that spans music, comedy, sports, the arts, and beyond. For its third episode, Ramos is joined by Alexis Munroe, who started writing music when she was 16 using an app on her phone. From there, the up-and-coming emo singer was signed to Sumerian Records in 2021. “I thought it was fake,” she says of seeing an email from founder Ash Avildsen. Ultimately, it’s been a journey filled with unpredictability and promise for Munroe, who also features on the fiery cut “24” from Lindemann’s latest HEADSPLIT EP.

“I’ve been a fan of Alexis for a while, so being able to put her on a song on my new EP, HEADSPLIT, was really exciting for me!” Lindemann shares with AP. “I love her style and her music and really wanted to get her on an episode of SWIXXZ Presents to showcase her. I love women in rock, and I’m really glad she was down to do both.”
