Tom Sandoval‘s former assistant, Ann Maddox, is speaking out about being asked to clean up after him.
During a recent episode of her podcast, Ann, who worked for Sandoval, 41, amid filming on the currently airing 11th season of Vanderpump Rules, admitted that her gig felt more like “babysitting” as Ariana Madix, 38, was seen discussing the situation in a sneak peek and considering hiring Ann as her own assistant.
“Definitely, when he first asked me to clean like that, I was a little bit like, ‘That’s kinda not in my job description,’ but I was like, ‘But I like cleaning so I’ll do it anyways.’ And then you just kind of keep getting asked so you just kinda keep doing it. And now in hindsight, I see myself and I’m like, ‘Huh,’” Ann explained on the March 20 episode of We Signed an NDA. “I’ve had so many personal assistants reach out being like, ‘Yo, you shouldn’t be doing that.’ And you’re like, ‘Oh, right, right, right,’”
When Ann’s co-host then mentioned that Ariana had said on the show that Ann seemed to be more like Sandoval’s mom than his assistant, Ann agreed.
“It totally felt like nannying, like babysitting, just a three-year-old toddler just running around dropping stuff and you just following them, making sure they don’t get her and picking up for them. That was my job but it was for an adult,” she laughed.
Meanwhile, in a preview of the March 26 episode shared by Bravo, Ann was seen on FaceTime with Ariana, who requested her help finding an assistant.
“I feel like on the verge of like, full burnout, so I need an assistant. So, I was gonna ask if you know anybody,” Ariana tells Ann in the sneak peek.
“Ariana, can I be in the running, please?” Ann asks.
“Yes, of course,” Ariana replies. “Of course you can.”
But, in a confessional, Ariana confessed to thinking that hiring Ann may not be the best idea.
“Ann is just so sweet and she deserves so much more than putting up with my ex-boyfriend,” she said. “I don’t know if I can be the one to do it, but somebody needs to save Ann.”
Ariana also tells Ann, “I don’t want him to get all like, pissed and stuff too, or be like, ‘You’re poaching my assistant,’” which didn’t deter Ann one bit.
“I want to work for you so bad,” she insists.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live earlier this month, Ariana confirmed she did not hire Ann as her assistant, nor did she have an assistant at all, but added of Ann, “There will be some developments.”
