Winne-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey is confirmed to be getting a third film, and I’m not surprised. Of course, this ridiculous franchise is going to get another movie, and I’m sure there are more sequels to follow.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 was announced by creators Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Chambers of the horror banner Jagged Edge Productions. They also say that the third movie will have an even bigger budget than the first two films. Do these movies really need a bigger budget? It just seems like such a waste of money.

The next movie will also introduce new characters from the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, including Rabbit, the Heffalumps, and the Woozles. And yes, you can expect them to be given sadistic, twisted, and bloody-thirsty traits.

The news comes as Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is currently making its theatrical run in U.S. cinemas as part of its 3-day theatrical run thanks to Fathom Events.

Like it or not, the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey franchise has become a box office smash and the franchise is hear to stay. The films reimagine A. A. Milne’s beloved bear as feral, sledgehammer-wielding serial killer. The first movie was made for under $50,000, and it ended up earning $5.2 million globally, which made it one of the best budget-to-box office ratios in movie history.

On top of Winnie-The-Pooh, the creative team is also developing the Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, a crossover film bringing together characters from Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and various other incoming films. This Twisted Childhood Universe will include murderous versions of classic characters like Bambi, Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Tigger, Piglet, The Mad Hatter, and Sleeping Beauty.
