Cinephiles nationwide eagerly anticipate the release of an exciting lineup of Indian movie releases that are set to hit the theatres in April this year. March 2024 brought some fantastic films to the silver screen, like Crew, Shaitaan, and Tillu Square. The month of April is also packed with diverse films ranging from adrenaline-pumping action to heartwarming romance and spine-chilling thrills.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

April brings with it the highly anticipated release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The adrenaline-fueled action film stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, delivering death-defying stunts and jaw-dropping action sequences.

The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist, along with Alaya F and Manushi Chillar in pivotal roles. The story follows two elite soldiers on a mission to retrieve a stolen AI weapon. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will hit the theatres on April 10.

Family Star

In the genres of romance and comedy, Family Star emerges as a delightful option for moviegoers. Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, this Parasuram directorial will be an entertaining watch for Indian audiences.

Produced by Dil Raju, Family Star is set for a multilingual release on April 5, 2024. The film, with its captivating story and talented cast, promises to bring joy and laughter to audiences of all ages.

Maidaan

For fans of sports dramas, Maidaan will be an exciting watch as it explores Indian football’s rise to prominence. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the movie features Ajay Devgn, who portrays the role of a football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim.

It will show Rahim’s journey to put Indian football on the global map. Maidaan promises to inspire and uplift audiences when it hits theatres on April 10.

Amar Singh Chamkila

Diving into the realm of biographical drama, Amar Singh Chamkila sheds light on the life of the famed Punjabi singer. Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, the film stars Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot Kaur opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role.

The Indian movie will explore the tumultuous journey of Chamkila, a popular singer of the ’80s. With its compelling narrative and stellar performances, Amar Singh Chamkila promises to be a poignant cinematic experience. The movie is set to stream on Netflix starting April 12.

Mr. and Mrs. Mahi

Marking a fusion of romance stories and sports drama, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi stars Janhvi Kapoor and RajKummar Rao in lead roles. Directed by Sharan Sharma, this film follows the journey of two hearts chasing one dream. For now, the teaser trailer for the film is available.

Scheduled for release on April 19, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is set against the backdrop of the Indian sports industry.

Aranmanai 4

Horror-comedy fans are in for a treat with Aranmanai 4, the latest installment in the popular franchise starring Tamannaah Bhatia. Written and directed by Sundar C and produced by Khushbu Sundar, this film hopes to deliver thrills and laughter in equal measure.

Boasting a vast cast and chilling storyline, Aranmanai 4 intends to grip audiences upon its April release, keeping them on edge throughout.

Do Aur Do Pyaar

Offering a fresh take on modern-day relationships, Do Aur Do Pyaar presents a blend of romance and humor in a relatable storyline. Starring Vidya Balan, Ileana D’Cruz, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Pratik Gandhi, this film explores the dynamics of two couples striving to reignite the passion in their relationships.

Love Sex Aur Dhoka 2

Monkey Man

Actor Dev Patel makes his directorial debut with Monkey Man. Collaborating with renowned filmmaker Jordan Peele, the film explores the themes of vengeance and justice. Inspired by the Indian legend of Lord Hanuman, Monkey Man follows the journey of Kid, portrayed by Patel, as he seeks retribution against corrupt leaders.

Ruslaan
