While being stopped at LAX Airport by TMZ on Friday (April 5), Akon reacted to what he’s been hearing about Diddy. Although he claims he doesn’t hit up enough industry parties to know all the inner happenings at a Diddy party, Akon did issue the mogul some prayers and says he hopes that the truth prevails, justice be served, and lessons be learned.
When asked about Diddy’s parties, and every type of celebrity being at these functions, Akon said, “The thing is, I don’t really party much, so I couldn’t really speak much on it. But, I would like to say, just pray for the man. God knows best, whatever’s happening, God’s dealing with it, and that’s the best thing to say. It is very unfortunate that things in this business are always being exposed in certain ways and I think things can be done differently. But, I think this is a matter for God to just continue dealing with it how he’s dealing with it.”

When asked about the internet “becoming the judge and jury before seeing things play out in court,” Akon echoed some of Katt Williams‘ comments from his ‘Club Shay Shay‘ interview and said, “I can’t really speak on it, but I think when you have platforms like this… This is the year of truth at the end of the day. Things are going to be exposed. How it’s exposed, to whom it’s exposed from, those things…”
Akon redirected his thought and said, “Everyone is going to have to answer for what we do on this Earth, put it that way. We all have issues, problems, skeletons. And then we also have rewards and achievements, and everything of that nature. But, for the most part, I just believe that when God is dealing with you, you gotta let the process flow. And at this moment, all I can do is say, I hope things work out for all the… for everybody, in so many words. This is God’s plan. I think you just gotta allow this process to play itself out.”

TMZ also caught up with another singer at LAX Airport on Saturday (April 6). Ray J spoke on all of Diddy’s friends remaining silent as he faces multiple lawsuits and shocking federal raids. Knowing that Stevie J has really been the only person speaking up and defending Diddy, with others possibly fearing impending federal subpoenas, Ray J said, “I think a lot of people are just trying to understand it. Understand what is and what’s not. There’s still a big question mark. Pray for everybody, though. Prayers go up for everybody.”
Ray J was then asked about the alleged private afterparties to the legendary Diddy parties and if the feds were looking into alleged happenings at those functions. However, the singer refused to offer a real answer about the subject and just commented, “I plead the 5th on that one.”
Akon and Ray J’s comments arrive on the heels of a new sexual assault lawsuit filed against Diddy and his youngest son Christian Combs, aka King Combs. The two are being accused by a woman named Grace O’Marcaigh, who claims to have audio recordings of Christian trying to touch her at a 2022 yacht party. The event was hosted by Diddy just before New Year’s Eve that year and O’Marcaigh was employed as a steward. She claims that the mogul is liable since it was his party, and alleges that he aided and abetted his son in the alleged assault. Diddy and Christian have denied the claims.
