Prince Harry Allegedly Needs Meghan Markle’s ‘Approval’ Before UK Visit

Prince Harry reportedly intends to extend an olive branch to Prince William, but only with the approval of his wife, Meghan Markle. The siblings’ relationship has deteriorated since Harry stepped down, and according to a Royal source, it could improve when Harry visits the UK for the Invictus Games.

There have also been claims that William and Kate Middleton invited the Sussexes over, but Meghan has the final say on that visit. The rift between the two couples was apparent in Kate’s delay in telling them about her cancer diagnosis until the world found out.

Four years after Prince Harry stepped down as a senior British Royal, it has been reported that he might finally mend his rift with his brother, Prince William. In the years since 2020, Harry has made multiple shocking allegations against William, such as in his Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan.”

As the brothers’ relationship fractured, seeing them together in public became impossible, and their communication was reduced. However, Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun that the brothers could resolve their “rift” and reconnect their families.

He said, “The best way of resolving the rift, if it is to be resolved, is to do it privately. With Catherine and the King’s illness – that is an enormous game changer even when there are deep family rifts. The two very senior members of the royal family are very seriously ill, and you can’t really predict what’s going to happen.”

Fitzwilliams further noted that Harry and Meghan are known for “springing surprises,” which come into play in the reconciliation. He added, “This has happened before, and you never know what might happen in the coming weeks or months.”

Fitzwilliams mentioned one reconciliation opportunity for the brothers: Harry’s upcoming Invictus Games. He previously teased a possible reunion when the Duke of Sussex visits the UK in May to celebrate the games’ 10th anniversary.

Fitzwilliams said, “We don’t know, but things can happen that you don’t expect? And you look at the time scale between now and the Invictus games – It’s still quite the time. It’s perfectly possible Harry could come over before then to see his father, whether or to what extent he might see William and Catherine, or whatever I simply don’t know.”

However, Fitzwilliams mentioned that a possible hindrance to the visit could be Meghan’s unpopularity in Britain.

He said, “She knows that any appearance she’d make here would make headlines, and they wouldn’t necessarily be favourable.”

There have recently been rumors that Kate and William have extended a peace offering to Harry and Meghan by inviting their whole family, including the kids, to the UK.

Fitzwilliams commented on the rumored visit, saying that Meghan would decide whether their kids, Archie and Lilibet, would make the trip.

He said, “Meghan has the say. There’s no doubt Harry wishes to convey he is a very devoted family man and will put them above everything else. Just like William. If Meghan didn’t want to come she could never be forced to. It would be extremely unlikely Harry would come over with the kids without Meghan.”

The fracture in Harry and Meghan’s relationship with The Waleses was apparent after Kate’s shocking cancer diagnosis announcement.

The princess revealed in an emotional video that she was receiving treatment, “getting stronger every day,” and decided to keep the news about her diagnosis private to protect her kids amid the heavy speculation.

An insider told the New York Post that Harry and Meghan found out about Kate’s diagnosis at the same time as the rest of the world.

They said, “They had no idea and only learned of the news around the same time the rest of the world found out.”

After Kate’s announcement, Meghan and Harry released a statement of their own to show their support for the mother of three.

It read, per People magazine, “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also reportedly spoke with Kate and William “privately” during this trying time.

A source claimed that the couple had no idea about Kate’s abdominal surgery and recovery.

“They are aware of everything that goes on back in England but are being left out of any details regarding Kate,” the source told the news outlet. “There is clearly no trust.”
