Tia Mowry Is Sharing Her ‘Next Chapter’ In A New Reality Show

Actress Tia Mowry has been sharing her empowering post-divorce journey on social media. And now, a year after finalizing her divorce, she’s gearing up to share her “next chapter” in a new reality show.

The “Sister, Sister” actress took to social media to share the exciting news and give fans a little insight into what they can expect from her new show, “Tia Mowry: My Next Chapter.”

Mowry shared her big news in an Instagram post that included a carousel of photos and videos.

“The secret is out! I’m thrilled to share the news about my new reality show ‘Tia Mowry: My Next Chapter’ coming out soon on WEtv and ALLBLK,” she began her caption.

“Lately I’ve been taking my power back. I’m so lucky to have a community – YOU ALL – that are so close to my life, the ups and downs, my wins and my struggles. An intention I set this year is to embrace ALL that I’m experiencing, so I’m removing the filter like never before.”

Her caption explained that for the first time in her life, she’s “experiencing what life is like on my own both personally and professionally.”

Mowry’s caption continued with an explanation of what viewers can expect to see in the new show.

“In each episode, the series delivers the ultimate access to behind-the-scenes goings-on of my multifaceted life. You’ll join me as I navigate my newly single status, motherhood, building businesses, and juggling my super busy and ever-evolving career,” she wrote.

“I’m ready to date, take my multiple businesses to the next level, and discover what makes me happy. With this exciting new chapter come profound changes and adjustments to the roles I play in my everyday life and my next act. I made this for YOU ALL to come on this wild journey with me, as I have you to thank for the endless support and dialogue.”

Mowry’s Instagram announcement quickly received thousands of likes and many positive and empowering comments.

“Will be inspiring for so many!” one person wrote. Another added, “And that’s how you turn your lesson into a BLESSING! Keep shining Queen.”

Part of Mowry’s healing process post-divorce has been sharing her experience with her social media followers. She recently shared a video montage showing different scenes from her recovery and healing and how she’s bouncing back from the emotional roller coaster of divorce and big life changes.

“Recovering from a divorce feels like a whirlwind journey. I found that through the process, divorce isn’t a place where we arrive, it’s entering a new chapter of life with many nuances, and no one-size-fits-all handbook,” she said in the video.

“One moment you’re relieved, feeling like you’ve conquered something significant. Then suddenly, waves of emotions hit you all over again,” she continued. “It’s a side of divorce that isn’t often discussed, especially when there are kids involved.”

Many Instagram followers could relate to her journey and shared their thoughts in the comment section.

“My feelings are very similar to yours. 20 years married, 2 children. It’s a death of a dream but it’s ok. I. AM. Healing. Learning. Shedding. Loving. Growing. Living,” one person wrote.

Another said, “You have handled this season with so much grace and you’re helping others heal while still figuring it out. It’s so admirable. Wishing you so much happiness and peace.”

Mowry also shares videos on TikTok with her 7.6 million followers. A few months ago, she shared a short video with an important message that received more than 1.3 million views and tons of positive comments.

“How I sleep knowing I’m not afraid to start over at any age,” is written across a video of Mowry cozying up in her bed with a smile.

“Everyone needs to think like this instead of settling,” one viewer shared in the comment section.

Another viewer shared a personal story, writing, “I lost several years being afraid to start over, afraid to end up alone, so I suffered in a miserable relationship. Just before I turned 40 I ended things & my only regret was not doing it sooner.”

After 14 years of marriage, Mowry and Hardrict split in October 2022. They share two children, son Cree, 12, and daughter Cairo, 5.

The actress announced their split on social media.

“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” her caption reads, going on to state:

“These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”

Their divorce was finalized in April 2023. The two share legal and physical custody of their two children.
