Both stars were separated as security managed to keep them apart to ensure another brawl did not occur between the two.
Later on the show, Cathy Kelley interviewed Liv Morgan in a backstage segment, during which the fans booed her. Morgan questioned why the fans were mad about Ripley relinquishing her title and expressed confusion. She also asked why the fans did not show her the same support when Rhea Ripley injured her last year on an episode of WWE RAW.
During the course of WWE RAW in July 2023, Morgan was set to face Ripley, but the match never started because Ripley viciously attacked Morgan with a steel chair. This attack was aimed at writing Morgan off television due to her shoulder injury.
Morgan returned to WWE programming earlier this year in the Royal Rumble. Since then, she has had one goal in mind—to seek revenge against Rhea Ripley. It seems like Morgan may have finally achieved this.

AEW star Buddy Matthews, who is Rhea Ripley’s real-life fiancé, sent out a heartfelt message to his fiancée following her announcement that she would relinquish her title. Matthews wrote on X (formerly Twitter), promising that Ripley would return bigger and better. Morgan responded to the tweet by writing “LOL”, mocking Matthews’s promise to the fans.
After stepping down from her title, Ripley said she would be out of action for a few months. Nonetheless, there are no reports specifying the precise date of Ripley’s return.
