Reportedly, the owners of the white Ford Bronco used in the infamous 1994 O.J. Simpson police chase want to sell the SUV for $1.5 million.

As we previously shared, on Wednesday (April 10), former NFL star O.J. Simpson died at age 76 after a battle with prostate cancer. Simpson’s family broke the news on social media.
Taking to the former pro football star’s official account on X (formerly Twitter), the Simpson Family wrote, “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”

Following the death of O.J. Simpson, it’s now being reported that the current owners of the white Ford Bronco he used in his 1994 police chase are ready to sell the truck for $1.5 million now that he has died.
According to the collectibles and memorabilia website cllct, the Bronco’s current owners are listed as Simpson’s former agent Michael Gilbert, and two friends of the original owner, Al Cowlings. On Sunday night (April 14), the three owners of the white Ford Bronco reportedly told the publication that with interest surging for the SUV — due to Simpson’s recent death and the upcoming 30th anniversary of his 1994 slow-speed police chase (in June) — they believe now is the time to sell and make a huge fortune.

Gilbert told the publication, “Before O.J. passed, we had always thought this was going to be the year we were going to sell because it’s the 30th anniversary. Who knows if we are all going to be around for the 35th or the 40th?”
The owners claimed that the last offer they received for the 1993 truck was $750,000. They are now wanting to sell for at least $1.5 million via a public or private sale. Prior to Simpson’s death, the car had been on loan to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee since 2016. Before that, the SUV was used briefly to help open a sports museum at Las Vegas’ Luxor Hotel, and before that, for 17 years, the truck was parked in space 144 at a condominium garage in Los Angeles.
Gilbert also said that the truck had been parked at his house for a little while until his wife urged him to move it. He said, “My wife didn’t like it there. She wanted her parking spot back.”
