Kate Upton In Nun Bikini Look ‘Impresses’ Catholics

Kate Upton caused a stir with her nun bikini look as she donned a Catholic headdress and crucifix while stripped to swimwear in 2012. A photo of the 31-year-old model in her revealing look was posted to a fan Instagram account in January 2023, reminding everyone of the killer curves Kate delivered over a decade ago as she featured in movie The Three Stooges. While media outlets documented the Catholic Church being outraged at Kate’s outfit, some of the users seeing the images didn’t seem to mind. In fact, one fan claiming to be Catholic even said that they were “impressed.”

Leaving very little to the imagination as she flaunted her eye-popping cleavage and hourglass curves, Kate sizzled during an outdoor moment as she rocked a barely there, low-cut black swimsuit with a monokini feel thanks to sheer lace paneling that brought attention to her toned midriff. Flashing hints of her long legs as she smiled confidently while rocking the iconic Catholic nun headwear and a crucifix necklace, Kate smiled while showing her blonde locks, also flashing her pearly whites.

The images, which went viral in 2012, largely brought love on the fan account, although it’s worth noting that positive comments are more likely on feeds dedicated to a celebrity. With less bias, comments on The Daily Mail reflected a more general reaction, proving mixed as some frowned upon the look while others loved it.

Slamming the outfit was a user writing: “I’m Catholic by birth and don’t really get offended at much, but this offends me. It is the crucifix that is the disturbing part. Put her in that swimsuit with the habit, but to throw in a cross and what is clearly supposed to be a rosary (can’t tell it is really is one) is OFFENSIVE. This would never be tolerated if the movie did this to any other religion.”

That said, another replied writing: “I’m Catholic and I am impressed.” The first comment gained over 700 upvotes, while the second fell a little short at 500+ likes.

Also popular were remarks pointing toward the various child abuse scandals that the Catholic Church has faced over the years. “So what. I’m infuriated by the Catholic Church’s bad habits,” one fan said. The most-liked comment read: “Yeah, right. Because the Catholic Church has such a pure reputation…”

Kate continues to turn heads with her figure, although these days, her social media posts are a little less about the bikini bombshell vibe and a little more about her motherhood and her fitness. In 2018, she and husband Justin Verlander welcomed their daughter Genevieve.
