A Black male student-athlete is going viral and causing a debate after explaining why other Black male D1 athletes prefer dating and marrying White women over Black women.

The Black male student-athlete causing all of this conversation online goes by Lil.Goodiee on TikTok and on Tuesday (April 30), he uploaded a video with an on-screen caption that read, “Why are Black D1 athletes only dating/marrying white women?”
In the video, the man said, “Why are all of these Black athletes that are getting drafted having White women? What’s going on?! I am going to tell you, as someone that is friends with a lot of D1 football players and D1 basketball players. I’m going to tell you because they have told me.”
The Black student-athlete continued to preface his upcoming explanation by stating, “Before I get into this, I want to make it clear that I’m only into Black women. I’m just telling you what they have told me.” The student continued to state, “My man said, ‘Bro, how many White women have you seen do the Megan Thee Stallion challenge, excluding the ones that think they’re two shades away from being Latto?’ I said, ‘Probably only one.’ He said, ‘Ok.’”

The man continued to say, “Y’all, five of my guys that play on Division 1 Power 5 football teams, and they start, were like, ‘Goodie, you know the type of NIL deals (Name, Image and Likeness) we got.’ One of my mans said, ‘Bro, I was messing with this Black girl, she heard about the deal I got, and started to request money. Apple Pays and Cash Apps. For hair and nails.’ I said, ‘Oh sh*t.’”
The man went on, “My other friends were saying, ‘Bro, I would try to take her out to Chipotle, Cava, this and that, and she would get mad, talking about, ‘Why aren’t we going to steak houses? You’re good for it.” I said, ‘Oh sh*t.’”
He continued, “They were like, ‘Bro, the White women, they’re down to go and get a cup of coffee or go and get some f***ing ice cream.’ My friends were like, ‘Bro, the White women we’re dating, they pay for a lot of stuff.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ They said, ‘Bro, they know that we’re making some money, but while we’re at practice or while we’re at camp, they get us our favorite Cava bowl, double chicken, waiting for us to get out of practice.’”

The Black student-athlete continued to explain why his other Black D1 athlete friends preferred to date (and eventually marry) White women. He said, “My friends were telling me that these girls were getting their group projects done, getting their essays done, online tests done, on time. I said, ‘Wait, what?!’ I said, ‘Bro, what about maintenance? There’s no way you’re not paying for her hair, nails, bags, her lifestyle.’ They said, ‘Bro, first of all, my girl will get her own Starbucks and even get me [some], but if I want to be nice, I’ll get her something from Starbucks.’”
He added, “And they were like, ‘Hair and nails? They don’t even care about the nails, really. And if they do, they’ll do it themselves or sometimes I’ll pitch in.’ And I was like, ‘Alright, what about hair?’ They were like, ‘Bro, she’s White. She just brushes it or flatirons it if she wants to be special.’ I was like, ‘Jesus Christ, you guys are saving a lot of money.”
The man then said another friend, who just got drafted, told him, ‘Bro, I was dating a Black girl. Now I’m dating a White girl, I’m about to marry her. The difference between the Black girl and the White girl, the biggest difference, the White girl knows when to shut the f**k up.’ I said, ‘Godd*mn.’ This is what they told me. Do with the information as you please. If it takes me 10 to 15 years to find a Black woman that is compatible with me, that’s what I’m gonna do. But, this is what they told me. So stop being surprised.”
