Just months after declaring that her marriage to husband PK was better than ever, Dorit Kemsley tells a fan, “shit happens” amid their recent separation.
After announcing her separation from her husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley, Dorit Kemsley was bombarded with questions about why they were taking time apart just five months after declaring their marriage was “stronger than ever” at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion.
“Wait, I thought ya’ll were stronger than ever,” one fan commented.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star fired back: “We were. Shit happens. It’s called life – try it sometime. One day at a time.”
As previously reported, on Thursday, May 9, Dorit Kemsley took to Instagram to address the ongoing speculation about her marriage to her husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley.
In the post, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced that she and PK were taking some time apart amid their ongoing marital woes.
On Instagram, Dorit wrote:
“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of specualtion about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together.
To safe guard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutal and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.
We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey.

Dorit Kemsley and PK have been married since 2015 and share two children. They joined RHOBH in 2016 during season 7.
