Jennifer Lopez Allegedly ‘Wasting’ No ‘Time Moving On’ From Ben Affleck

Things are seemingly getting worse between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, as a report claims that the actress is “moving on” from the actor.

Rumors of a divorce between the two celebrities have intensified, and Lopez was recently spotted on a solo house hunt. They’re not living together and have been occasionally seen without their wedding rings.

According to a report, Affleck and Lopez’s relationship has soured past the point of no return.

The Hollywood power couple’s wedding anniversary is around the corner, but they might not mark the special day as a source claims that Lopez is already “moving on from” Affleck.

The source told In Touch, “The split is getting nasty. She isn’t wasting any time moving on from Ben. She went to the Met Gala alone, she went out to dinner on Mother’s Day without him, and now she’s looking for a new home for herself after they had spent months searching for their dream home.”

“And with a combined net worth of $550 million, the divorce is only going to get nastier,” the source added.

Affleck and Lopez raised eyebrows about their relationship when it was revealed that they did not spend Mother’s Day together. They also weren’t pictured together for over seven weeks and eventually reunited to attend the actor’s child, Fin’s school play.

Lopez and Affleck have been spotted without their wedding rings several times over the past few weeks and have stopped attending major events together.

The actress recently attended the premiere of her latest movie, “Atlas,” alone and was curt with a reporter when they asked a direct question about the divorce rumors plaguing her marriage.

Recently, a source told Page Six that Affleck has “come to his senses” about their romance and has accepted that the marriage “isn’t going to work.”

The “Gone Girl” actor is currently living in a Brentwood home, while Lopez remains at the $60 million Beverly Hills mansion the couple bought together last year.

A major issue in their marriage was Lopez’s stance on sharing what goes on in their marriage with the world, as opposed to Affleck’s private disposition.

The couple’s contrary views were revealed in Lopez’s “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary, in which Affleck shared his reservations about putting their relationship on social media.

“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,'” Affleck stated. “Then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain, and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.’ We’re trying to learn to compromise.”

“Things that are private, I’d always felt are sacred and special because in part they’re private,” he stated, going on to confess that the whole thing “was something of an adjustment” for him.

As Affleck and Lopez’s marriage crumbles, there’s one person working hard to save their relationship: the actor’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

Garner is reportedly convinced that Lopez is a source of stability for Affleck and their kids, and also really cares about the singer and wants them to remain happy and together.

An insider told the DailyMail, “[Garner] has been through it with the same man herself, and although the circumstances were quite different… they both dealt with some of the same issues. Jen does not want Ben to pull the plug on this marriage because she really does care about J Lo.”

The tipster further revealed that Garner has visited Affleck at his home several times to “talk to him about this and to try and keep the two of them together.”

They also shared that Garner and Lopez have developed a close relationship, and the “Elektra” actress regularly tells the singer that she is “valued” in their lives.

Garner and Lopez are reportedly worried about the possibility of Affleck relapsing into alcohol use amid the marriage troubles. The “Good Will Hunting” star is allegedly known for a pattern of relapse when he’s handling marital issues.

“The biggest fear right now is that he will start drinking again, and part of the reason Jen has been keeping tabs on him is to make sure this doesn’t happen,” an insider told the DailyMail.

Affleck’s alcohol intake was a big part of the issues that ended his marriage to Garner after about 13 years together.

During an interview with the New York Times in 2020, Affleck opened up about their marriage and his alcoholism. He said, “I drank relatively normally for a long time. What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016. My drinking, of course, created more marital problems.”
