If you’re a fan of what George Miller did with Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, you’re gonna love the news that the film is going to get the Black & Chrome treatment!
This will be a black-and-white version of the film, and it’s the same thing he did with Max Mad: Fury Road, which ended up being awesome!
Miller confirmed this news while he was a guest in a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast. When asked about a potential black-and-white release for Furiosa, the filmmaker said that it’s already finished!
Miller said: “We’ve done it already. It’s the last thing I did on this film, and I call it Tinted Black & Chrome. I must say, it’s really interesting, I’m still trying to demystify why the black and white, for me, has something more elemental to it.
He went on to explain: “I still can’t put my finger on it. It’s not because they look like old black and white movies, it’s something else. It’s like if we took a picture of ourselves right now, it might look a little more dramatic if it’s in black and white.”
There’s no word on when the Black & Chrome version of the film will be released, but I’m excited about watching it! Hopefully, this monochromatic edition gets a theatrical release!
