Is there a Power Book II: Ghost Season 5 release date?
There is no Power Book II: Ghost Season 5 release date as the series is slated to end after the fourth season.
In January 2023, Starz renewed Power Book II: Ghost for the fourth season. In March 2024, the network announced that the popular crime drama series would end with its fourth chapter.
The announcement came in the aftermath of Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch explaining the network’s new cost-cutting plans. At a Deutsche Bank media conference, Hirsch spoke about how it was less expensive to develop a new show of a similar premise than continue an established series beyond the third or fourth season, even using the Power franchise as an example, as per Deadline.
Shortly before announcing that Ghost ends after the fourth season, Starz revealed an upcoming new Power spin-off. It would feature the backstory of James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Thomas “Tommy” Egan, titled Power: Origins, as per Variety.
The cast of Power Book II: Ghost includes Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick, Mary J. Blige as Monet Stewart Tejada, Woody McClain as Cane Tejada, and Gianni Paolo as Brayden Weston. Power Book II: Ghost also features Method Man as Davis MacLean and Lovell Adams-Gray as Dru Tejada.
