These haven’t been the best few weeks for Kim Kardashian. For starters, she has been called out for nepotism over her daughter North West being selected to perform at the Hollywood Bowl despite not having the proper training. Now, in a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim admitted to feeling overwhelmed by the kids she shares with Kanye West.
Kim and Kanye divorced in 2022, and they have four kids together. This has been a source of controversy because Kanye has, on a few occasions, publicly criticized Kim and her parenting. Naturally, the kids are heavily featured on the family’s reality show.
Fans are used to shocking and emotional revelations from The Kardashians. However, in a recent episode, titled “This Is Going to be Really Hot Tea,” fans can see Kim in a car on the way to jury duty. It starts with her complaining to someone on the phone about not having been excused, and how the next day is her birthday, so she needs a way to get out of it.
However, it takes a turn when she opens up to the mystery person and vents about the difficulties of raising four kids. She even eventually says she wishes she could be more like Khloe Kardashian as a mother.
Kim starts, “Hey, can I vent for one sec? It’s been an extra troubling week where I was just like, I can’t do it anymore. I just… anything in that home is just chaotic right now. “
She continues, “I had a Zoom at the house with all my kids there, banging on the door, just screaming, and I was literally hiding in a bathroom with the door locked as I was just like, I can’t believe this. I mean, I can believe it, but that’s like my biggest nightmare.”
Kim then elaborates more on the stress she faces as a parent in a confessional.
“Sometimes it gets just like a little intense. I want to be more strict like Khloe, but I don’t know why I have a hard time just saying no is no. I think I also just don’t want to deal with the whining and the tears of not getting their way.”
She continues talking to the person on the other end of the phone and says, “I’m open to anything at this point because I just can’t live like this, like I’ve ran out of my patience, and that was my, like, superpower was calm and patience. “
Kim goes on to say that she realizes she is a pushover and that she’ll often give the kids whatever they want to avoid them crying. Additionally, she feels she doesn’t have any support.
However, Kim does share one method that usually works.
“This always shuts them up. I always say, ‘Okay guys, do you want me to just cut myself in halves or in fours, and a part will go with you, and a part will go with you?’ And they, like, look at me like, ‘No don’t ever do that!’ And I’m like, ‘Well, okay, that’s the only option if you all want me at the same exact time.’”
