Ariana Grande, 30, began her career in entertainment as an actress on Nickelodeon, where she starred as Cat Valentine on both “Victorious” (2010-2013) and “Sam & Cat” (2013-2014).

She has since transitioned into a successful music career and landed the role of Glinda in 2024’s musical “Wicked.”

While she has gone on to become one of the biggest names in Hollywood, many can’t help but think back to Ariana as a child star and what happened behind the scenes at Nickelodeon.

Following the accusations made on “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV,” Ariana Grande is breaking her silence on child acting.

As The Blast previously reported, many former Nickelodeon cast and crew members came forward, accusing the network, Dan Schneider, and Brian Peck of misconduct.

One of the conversations had among former actors and actresses included inappropriate scenes.

For example, the docuseries highlights one scene starring Ariana Grande, sitting in a bedroom attempting to squeeze a potato to get the juice out. Accusations claim that this was a reference to pleasuring a man until he ejac-lated.

Many fans have been waiting to hear from the 30-year-old on the accusations made, and Ari is finally breaking her silence.

“Obviously, my relationship to it has, and is currently, changing, and I’m reprocessing a lot of what the experience was like,” she said. “I think that the environment needs to be made safer if kids are going to be acting. I think there should be therapists. I think [parents should be] allowed to be wherever they want to be.”

For those who don’t know, Ari grew up on Nickelodeon and starred in “Victorious” and “Sam & Cat,” both of which aired in the 2000s and were produced by Dan Schneider.

“And I think, not only on kids sets, I think if anyone wants to do this or music or anything at the level of exposure that it means to be on TV or to do music with a major label or whatever, there should be in the contract something about ‘Therapy is mandatory twice a week.'” she continued.

“A lot of people don’t have the support that they need to get through performing at that level at such a young age, but also dealing with some of the things that the survivors who have come forward, there’s not a word for how devastating that is to hear about,” she continued. “So I think the environment just needs to be made a lot safer.”

As The Blast previously reported, Drake Bell was one of those who came forward in the docuseries, telling the world that Brian Peck, a dialogue coach at Nickelodeon who worked with Bell, sexually abused him for years.

Dan Schneider Apologizes

“Watching over the past two nights was very difficult,” he told BooG!E, who played T-Bo on the hit series, ‘iCarly.’ “Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret, I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”

The former Nickelodeon producer has been accused of creating a toxic work environment, inappropriate behavior toward young actors, verbal abuse, racism, favoritism, and more.

“I wish I could go back, especially to those earlier years of my career, and bring the growth and the experience that I have now and just do a better job and never, ever feel like it was okay to be an a–hole to anyone, ever,” he added.

Dan Schneider also addressed the massages he allegedly received from the young actors and actresses.

“It was wrong that I ever put anyone in that position,” he added. “It was a wrong thing to do. I’d never do it today. I’m embarrassed that I did it then.”

“Additionally, I apologize to the people who were walking around Video Village or wherever they happened because there were lots of people who witnessed it who may have also felt uncomfortable,” he continued, “So I owe them an apology as well.”
