On a recent episode of Keke Palmer’s podcast “Baby It’s Keke Palmer,” Kel Mitchell recalled his on-set experience working with Dan Schneider and said they had a heated encounter regarding creative differences.

During his time on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” Mitchell explained that he and Schneider reportedly disagreed about the show’s creative direction and alleged that the show producer was dissatisfied with his objections to the script and overall vision. In response, Schneider allegedly led Mitchell to a closet to explain his frustrations privately, which the former child star described as “intense” and said Schneider yelled various insults along with berating him.
According to TMZ, Mitchell, who was 18 or 19 then, felt the only way to handle the situation was to walk away from the show entirely rather than physically engage. He added that the overall vibe from on set was changing under Schneider’s leadership, something he grew increasingly uncomfortable with.

The latest revelation amid the broader allegations against Dan Schneider was detailed in the documentary “Quiet on Set,” where several former Nickelodeon stars have accused him of misconduct. These allegations include inappropriate writing for minors and instances of sexual harassment. Schneider has continued to deny all claims and filed a defamation lawsuit against the producers of “Quiet on Set,” claiming that the portrayel of him as a predator is entirely unfounded.
However, he has admitted to his past mistakes during his interview with the Hollywood Reporter and said his content might have been inappropriate. “The realization of the pain I may have caused is deeply troubling, and I unequivocally apologize to those affected,” he explained.
