A source claimed Bravo “has to pick” either Teresa Giudice or Melissa Gorga to stay on Real Housewives of New Jersey – amid their ongoing feud, with most of the current season being filmed separately.
Another insider claimed the next season won’t be a “hard reboot” like the Real Housewives of New York (which completely replaced its cast), though they’ll probably fire castmates from “both sides” of the cast divide.
Most stars are either Team Melissa or Team Teresa. According to Jackie Goldschneider, Margaret Josephs has especially contributed to the ‘teams’ mentality, and is treating the series like a competition show.
Per a source speaking to Life & Style, the drama between the sisters-in-law has gotten so bad that the network must choose who to let go.
“The situation is unsustainable,” said the source. “Bravo has to pick one. The season 14 reunion was already canceled because these two can’t even be in the same room together … If they can’t film a reunion, how can they possibly handle a new season? The answer is clear — they can’t!”
One spokesperson for Bravo added, “it is clear from the finale this cast is not, and may never be, ready for resolution. The network is looking at a different concept to wrap the season.”
“Melissa and Teresa are acting like children,” said a source. “Their vendetta against each other is more important to them than the show. If they’re not careful, they both might get the boot!”
Meanwhile, an insider addressed RHONJ’s future with Us Weekly.
“It won’t be a hard reboot like NYC,” said the source, referring to the complete recasting of RHONY. “But likely they’ll get rid of people from both sides because it’s so fractured.”
Last week, Andy addressed the flurry of rumors surrounding the alleged cast shakeup.
“There was a bunch of casting news about Jersey that was reported today. None of it is true. No decisions have been made,” he shared with ET. “We haven’t even had any serious conversations about next season, so anything you read about what Jersey’s gonna be for next season for the next, I would say six months, is fake, so don’t believe it.”
But ‘friend’ Jenn Fessler told the outlet that a change is probably coming.
“I am not privy to what goes on at Bravo and in the inner workings of the Bravo brains, but definitely, like every other person who’s a viewer, I think, things are changing,” the star expressed. “I’m very well aware of the fact that things in Jersey are changing, things are shifting. The hows of it, the whens, the whys? I don’t know.”
