Scheana Shay Reveals Prediction About Vanderpump Rules Future

Scheana Shay revealed her prediction about the future of Vanderpump Rules amid the hiatus, and says that she’d rather have Stassi Schroeder return than Kristen Doute.

Scheana and Kristen have shaded each other in recent weeks, after Kristen claimed that her new spinoff The Valley doesn’t need Scheana or other Pump Rules stars. Last season on Pump Rules, the cast was divided amid the lingering effects of ‘Scandoval.’ To give castmates a cooling-off period, the show decided not to film this summer – and put it on a temporary hiatus.

“It feels good,” said Scheana of the hiatus, in an interview with E! News. “I think it was needed. We get to enjoy some time with our family.”

The star suggested it was a great time for it.

“Our daughter is about to start preschool,” she explained, “so having some time off is definitely needed.”

Her husband, Brock Davies, shared the same view.

“I think having the summer off, for Scheana, that’s something she hasn’t done in 13 years,” he said. “So that’s fun in itself. We get to explore.”

But when will Pump Rules cameras return?

“I think they’ll probably do The Valley [season 2] first,” Scheana expressed, “and then Vanderpump after. That’s my prediction.”

Scheana shared that she’s still spending time with some of her costars off-camera.

“We were just with James [Kennedy] and Ally [Lewber] yesterday,” she said. “We went and saw him for his residency in Vegas at LIV Beach. Absolutely crushed it.”

Last week, Scheana defended Ariana after Lala Kent accused her of not giving 100 percent in the season, particularly after she chose not to film convos with her ex, Tom Sandoval, who cheated on her.

“I know Lala made a comment about Ariana just floating for a few seasons or not giving much,” said Scheana on the Scheananigans podcast. “She was doing the best she could, and whether people found that entertaining or not, that was just her living her truth and putting her mental health journey out there.”

On a more recent episode of her podcast, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram, Scheana was asked which cast member she’d rather have back on Pump Rules: Stassi or Kristen.

“Stassi,” she answered immediately. “I think playdates with [our daughters] would be fun. And I mean, who knows? Season 12, you know, we haven’t started yet. So things could happen. We shall see.”
