Amazon MGM Studios picked up a new film project titled I Used to Eat Brains, Now I Eat Kale, a zombie feature package that Ryan Gosling is attached to as a producer.
The story is set in a “post-post-apocalyptic world where former zombies struggle to reintegrate.” This is wild because I’ve been writing a podcast series about this very same thing over the past year. Damn… I wish I could’ve finished the podcast faster.
The film is based on an adventure-comedy short story from Adam and Daniel Cooper, AKA The Cooper Twins, who have written and directed several award-winning short films.
No casting for the project has been announced, but there’s always the chance that Gosling could end up starring in the movie.
Gosling is currently producing and starring opposite Sandra Hüller in Project Hail Mary, Amazon MGM Studios’ long-awaited adaptation of the sci-fi novel from The Martian‘s Andy Weir. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing that film from a script by Drew Goddard.
