Jennifer Lopez’s Mom Feels She ‘Wasted Years’ On Ben Affleck

According to reports, she believes the singer is losing sight of herself as rumors of her troubled marriage to Affleck continue to make headlines.

Jennifer Lopez’s mother now wants her to “cut her losses” and move on rather than dig a hole further for herself by remaining in her marriage to Ben Affleck.

Reports of Lopez and Affleck being on the brink of ending their marriage have trended for weeks, with many expecting a divorce to come in the next few months.

Lopez’s mom, Rodriguez, is seemingly one of those anticipating the split and has allegedly advised her daughter to jump off the sinking ship of her marriage.

“Jennifer’s mom told her, ‘Cut your losses and move on to avoid getting any deeper in this mess,'” an insider dished to the Daily Mail.

According to the source, Rodriguez also told the Hollywood star that “she’s wasted years believing that Ben was some kind of knight in shining armor, seemingly referencing her daughter’s decision to marry Affleck after their first failed engagement.

The insider added, “He was not the person she built him up to be. It’s taken too much of a toll on her, and because of this, she has lost sight of who she is and what she stands for.”

Lopez’s sisters, Leslie Ann and Lynda, are said to also be unhappy about their sister’s troubled marriage and agree with their mother that she has “lost sight of who she is.”

“Jennifer currently feels like Ben does not deserve her, and her sisters agree,” the insider continued. “They want Jennifer to be happy, of course, but they feel their sister is getting so caught up in what it was supposed to be that she isn’t seeing it for what it is now.”

While it is still uncertain who would make the first move to file a divorce between Affleck and Lopez, the source shared that Lopez’s sister is pushing for her to initiate.

They want her to “focus on her kids and career” instead of prolonging breaking up with Affleck, who they believe “would rather throw in the towel than actually just try to fix things.”

Close sources to Lopez have revealed that the actress is down in the dumps about her split from Affleck.

The “Atlas” star, who recently returned from a trip to Italy, seems to have given up on any hope of reconciliation and is “heartbroken” that a divorce might happen soon.

“The marriage is completely over, and Jennifer is heartbroken,” an insider told Fox News about Lopez. “She loves love and wanted this to work so badly.”

The “Good Will Hunting” star was spotted with two of his kids on Wednesday while flaunting his wedding band, which he has also been seen not wearing on multiple occasions.

Neither Affleck nor Lopez has confirmed rumors about their marriage, but reports have emerged that the couple is already selling some of their possessions. The properties in question include some art and other pieces sold in an auction in June.

Affleck and Lopez are also said to have placed their $65 million 12-bedroom home on the market and are awaiting potential buyers to match their preferred price.

Already, Affleck was reported to have moved out of the home amid his troubles with Lopez, opting to stay in a $100k-a-month Brentwood rental home closer to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
