A recent update in the investigation of sex trafficking allegations involving Diddy indicates that significant progress has been made.
According to a new report by @vanityfair, a federal grand jury in New York is considering evidence in a criminal investigation involving the mogul. Additionally, he is confronting another lawsuit in a string of civil cases lodged by women alleging assault or trafficking by him during his peak celebrity status.

As we all know, the accusations against Combs have escalated since last November, when his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a significant lawsuit alleging sexual assault, coercion, domestic violence, and other forms of abuse. Combs reached a settlement with Ventura the day after she filed the lawsuit, although he refuted the accusations. Subsequently, more women came forward with lawsuits, seemingly encouraged by Ventura’s claims. Combs has also denied these additional allegations.
The disclosure of security footage referenced in Ventura’s lawsuit unsettled those who had previously supported Combs’s assertions of innocence: the footage, captured in 2016, showed Combs pushing and hitting Ventura as she attempted to flee a hotel room. Combs later acknowledged the incident in a now-deleted Instagram video.

Due to California’s statute of limitations for criminal cases, Combs cannot be prosecuted for the assault on Ventura as he admitted to it. However, a Homeland Security-led raid on his residences in March indicated suspicions of his involvement in other illicit activities. Recent reports suggest that federal authorities are working to convene a grand jury in Manhattan to review evidence against Combs, with prosecutors examining the allegations from multiple civil cases for potential leads.
